Thank you so much for coming to visit my site! My name is Jordan Elder and I am pursuing a Broadcast Journalism major with a Leadership & Ethics minor at Arizona State University. The Walter Cronkite School of Journalism is the perfect place to call home, though I am originally from Kansas City, Missouri. Journalism has been my passion since I was seven years old, and I’m truly blessed to be able to make it my career.

My greatest achievements thus far include two Emmy awards. My first was from the Mid-America NATAS for on-air talent, from which I moved on to the national competition and won that Emmy as well. I’m also the Student of the Year for the Student Television Network, the largest high school broadcast organization in the country. I have the immense honor of giving a speech at their national convention this March. Earlier this year I proudly accepted the Mike Wallace Memorial Journalism scholarship from the national Emmy chapter and I look forward to carrying on the legacy that Mike Wallace left in the field of journalism.

I will complete my bachelors degree in 2019 and graduate from ASU in 2020 with my masters in journalism. I hope to have a job lined up after college and work my way up the ladder over the years to become an anchor on Good Morning America or maybe the host of World News Tonight.
